Meet Lisa Nixon: Qualified Dance Teacher & Fitness Expert

Lisa Nixon is a highly qualified, registered dance teacher through bbodance. She is proud to be part of the first-ever cohort to hold the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Silver Swan License. [1, 2]

Lisa specializes in teaching adult ballet and classical repertoire to dancers of all backgrounds. Qualified to teach inclusively from beginner to professional levels, her classes safely accommodate wheelchair users and individuals managing long-term health conditions.

World-Class Training and Global Experience

Lisa trained at the world-renowned Bush Davies School of Theatre Arts and Education and the London Studio Centre. As a gold and silver NATD competition medalist, she spent years working as a professional dancer worldwide. Her extensive career includes touring and long-term residencies across Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Macau, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, and Morocco. [1, 2]

Beyond the stage, Lisa was a program developer for SOSA (IDTA). As a Para Dance IDT course assessor, she was also invited to serve as a national representative for Para Dance UK.

Lisa continuously updates her expertise. Her latest Continuous Professional Development (CPD) focuses on PBT® (Progressive Ballet Technique) training and fascia release.
