Service Description

The clog dance in Sir Frederick Ashton's production of La Fille Mal Gardée is a celebrated, humorous, and energetic piece performed by the character Widow Simone (Panto Dame) and a small group of female dancers (four ballerinas). Ashton incorporated elements of traditional Lancashire clog dancing into the classical ballet choreography after attending a performance of the folk style for inspiration. This workshop will be all about celebrating friendships and the lighter side of life whilst appreciating and musing on the joy found in typical English village life.
